in the spotlight: Freedom Leisure, Hailsham

Freedom Leisure, Hailsham

Background

A not-for-profit trust running leisure centres on behalf of local authorities, Freedom Leisure asked us to upgrade and rejuvenate the audio visual and PA systems at its Hailsham Leisure Centre as part of a larger refurbishment project.

Challenge

The Leisure Centre was to remain open throughout the upgrade, meaning we would have to keep all the original systems working whilst we delivered the new audio visual systems one phase at a time.

Solution

Our project management team worked closely with the client, the Centre’s operations team and the many other trades involved in the refurbishment to ensure seamless integration of all works. This included centralising the PA system into a single rack from three different locations, and creating an integrated tannoy system split over 12 zones with paging capacity in each zone.

We also updated the Centre’s existing fitness equipment with new cardio entertainment systems, fitted out studio spaces with versatile audio systems and introduced LED lighting and MyRide+ Virtual Cycle projection.

Result

With careful consideration of technology and a phased approach to installation, we delivered a fresh-looking, future-proofed leisure environment – all with the minimum of disruption to the club’s day-to-day operations and member experience.
